Cannes, France February 11, 2000- Nortel Networks* [Nyse/tse: Nt], Handspring* and Hong Kong multimedia services company Sunday will demonstrate innovative Wireless Internet services during Gsm World Congress 2000 - the world´s largest Gsm conference and trade show - on Nortel Networks´ booth (N°f26) at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. The demonstration will showcase wireless services that will be commercially launched by Sunday in February 2000 and will be demonstrated on Handspring´s Visor* expandable handheld computer as the Wireless Internet device, using a prototype wireless module. Nortel Networks´ Gsm and Ip core network infrastructure equipment will provide the data delivery system. The demonstrations will show personalized, device optimized wireless portal services enabling the provision of easy-to-use consumer and recreational services. Each of the three parties have brought unique and complementary skills, expertise and know how to this demonstration.
