FUJITSU UNVEILS JAPANESE INFOSORT IN CORPORATE INTRANET SERVICE

C. : 26 October, 1999: The Dialog Corporation (Lse: Dlg, Nasdaq: Dial), a leading provider of Internet-based information, technology and e-commerce solutions, today announced that Fujitsu Ltd. (Tse: 6702) has unveiled its first product utilising a Japanese version of Infosort. Fujitsu has now substantively completed the development of a Japanese version of Dialog´s proprietary indexing and categorisation technology, Infosort, following the agreement signed with Dialog in June. The technology is being incorporated with the Virtual Private Office (Vpo) intranet service, unveiled today by G-search Ltd. (a Fujitsu subsidiary) at Databasč 99 Tokyo. The service will be formally launched by G-search and Fujitsu in December 1999, and Fujitsu has forecast that it will be adopted by over 500 companies in the next three years. Dan Wagner, Chief Executive of The Dialog Corporation commented: "Fujitsu has made incredible progress in a very short period of time and are now able to utilise our Infosort technology within their Japanese product offerings. " The service applies Japanese Infosort terms and categories to important Japanese language newspapers, including publications such as Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun and Mainichi Shimbun as well as general papers, technical papers and industry papers. Virtual Private Office (Vpo) is an Intranet out-sourcing service provided by Fujitsu Ltd. , also distributed by G-search Ltd. To business customers, that enables the sharing of information among companies via the Internet.
