November 4 1999 - Global One, recently awarded "Best Carrier 1999" by customers in the Emap Media World Communication Awards 1999, is providing key European connectivity for Gartnergroup during its European Symposium/itexpo 1999 taking place in Cannes, France, this week. For the duration of this prestigious annual It conference Global One is extending the pan-European Frame Relay network it currently provides for Gartnergroup to link the Symposium site in Cannes. Global One is providing a 2Mbps port and access in Cannes, with four Pvcs connecting Cannes to four major Gartnergroup locations in Europe: Egham-uk (2Mbps port), Munich-germany (2Mbps port), Milan-italy (512Kbps port) and Paris-france (512Kbps port). As a result, all Gartnergroup´s existing data and Intranet applications will be seamlessly available in Cannes during the event. The existing Frame Relay network provided for Gartnergroup by Global One encompasses 16 sites in Europe across 11 countries, and connects to Gartnergroup´s corporate headquarters in Connecticut, Usa.
