  Milano, 15 novembre 1999 - The final step of the evaluation of what is best practise in multimedia has been done: The winners of Europrix Multimediaart, Europe’s major multimedia contest, are definitely certain. The producers and their outstanding products will be presented at the Europrix Gala in Finland on November 21. The winners are confidential and are announced officially at the Gala event where all the nominees are invited to experience with mounting excitement the grand jury´s decision. The Gala will take place at a most dignified location, the Theatre of Tampere, on the occasion of the Finnish Eu Presidency. The Europrix 99 contest was started at Milia in Cannes and was promoted to producers in 32 countries. 442 entries from 28 countries were evaluated by a international jury of 44 top multimedia experts from all over Europe. The 28 nominees from all over Europe were publicly presented at the opening day of the worlds largest content fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair. The event convinced the public with the high quality of the products together with the professional presentation of the products. The Europrix nominees from all of Europe were attending this event and had the possibility to use this big event for business contacts and exchange of ideas and know-how. The winning products distinguish oneself with high quality and comprehensiveness of the content. One can recognise an outstanding product also by the ease of use: their functionality, navigation and orientation. Most significant for the Europrix Multimediaart is the value added through multimedia and interactivity. This has to be supported by the quality of the technical realisation and it’s use to push the technique forwards. This features together lead to a strategic strength for the development of the European multimedia market.
