NEW DELL WORKSTATION DELIVERS GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS

Milano , 7 marzo 2000 - Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: Dell), the world´s leading direct computer systems company, announced its new high-end Dell Precisiom Workstation 620, designed to provide customers with the industry´s latest technology to handle the most demanding applications and online collaboration. The Dell Precision 620 is Dell´s most powerful workstation, and incorporates single or dual Intel Pentium Iii Xeon processors at 733 Mhz or 800Mhz with a front side bus speed of 133 Mhz. Additional features of the Dell Precision 620 include: * Two 64-bit Pci slots: Each slot provides twice the bandwidth of current 32-bit technology. The 64-bit Pci slots allow the use of high bandwidth technologies such as Gigabit Ethernet or high-speed external storage solutions. * Capacity for 4 Gb2 of Pc-800 Ecc Rdram (2 Gb at launch): Larger Ram capacity is important to customers performing compute-intensive calculations. Mcad and 3D design users will benefit from easier, faster, online team data management with the ability to track all stages of design. * Agp Pro Graphics: The Dell Precision 620 offers a range of graphics card choices, from the dual-monitor-capable Matrox G400 Max to the high-end Intense3d Wildcat 4110 Pro. * Quietcase( technology: Dell´s Quietcase technology reduces noises levels created by the internal hard drives by using advanced laminate and steel components that actually absorb vibration. This allows Dell to incorporate ultra-fast hard drives while minimizing noise levels.
