COOPER CAMERON SELECTS STC AND BROADVISION FOR ITS EBUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE

Milano, 24 maggio 2000 - Stc (Nasdaq: Stcs), a leading provider of eBusiness Integration (eBism) solutions, and Broadvision(, Inc. (Nasdaq: Bvsn), the worldwide supplier of personalized eBusiness applications, announced at the 2000 Broadvision International User Conference that they will provide Cooper Cameron Corporation (Nyse: Cam) with a pre-packaged integration solution enabling the seamless flow of information between Broadvisionīs suite of eBusiness applications and Sapīs enterprise resource planning (Erp) back office applications for true eBusiness transformation. This powerful solution will replace the existing proprietary eCommerce applications used in Cooper Cameronīs market-leading Web business. Due to the close collaboration between Broadvision and Stc, the implementation is expected to be completed in just weeks, thereby accelerating overall time-to-market. Cooper Cameron, a long-time supplier of equipment to the energy industry, realized it needed to upgrade its Web storefront with a fully integrated gateway to its back-office Erp systems in order to simultaneously check inventory, accept orders and provide delivery status for customersī online orders. With the integrated Broadvision/stc solution, Cooper Cameronīs significantly enhanced eBusiness infrastructure will help to attract and retain customers, expand markets and increase efficiencies. "We conducted a lengthy evaluation prior to choosing Stc and Broadvision as our eBusiness infrastructure vendors, and they were the only ones who could meet our eBusiness needs not just today -- but in the years to come," said David Petty, Web Architect for Cooper Cameron Corporation. "We are confident that the tightly integrated solutions by Stc and Broadvision provide the cutting-edge technologies that will enable us to rapidly enhance our market-leading Web business. " Implementing Stcīs flagship eBusiness platform, e*Gate( Integrator, along with key e*Way( Intelligent Adapters to enable application integration, Cooper Cameron will be provided with high-performance application connectivity and business logic to support end-to-end business processes. Also leveraging the alliance between Broadvision and Stc, Cooper Cameron will be able to quickly integrate Broadvision with its backend systems, which include Sap R/2, Supra and Macpac. "The number one priority for brick-and-mortar companies in establishing an effective online presence is to quickly integrate their Web storefront to their back office and legacy systems," said Harry Gould, vice president of global alliances for Stc. "By deploying Broadvision and Stcīs solution, Cooper Cameron will be able to transform into a true eBusiness and begin reaping the benefits within a matter of weeks. " Infolnik: www. Coopercameron.
