AGREEMENT BETWEEN MINISTER BRUNETTA, CONFARTIGIANATO IMPRESE AND TELECOM ITALIA TO PROMOTE TAKE-UP OF CERTIFIED E-MAIL

Rome, 23 June 2010 - Minister for Public Administration and Innovation Renato Brunetta, Confartigianato Chairman Giorgio Guerrini, and Telecom Italia Ceo Franco Bernabč yesterday announced an initiative that will allow businessman members of the artisans’ trade association to activate and use the certified e-mail service free of charge until 2011. The venture will foster business digitization by offering enterprises an opportunity to upgrade to the latest Ict tools and services on particularly favourable terms and conditions. The deal will significantly boost the process of digitization among crafts-based Smes. Adopting certified e-mail simplifies administrative processes and helps increase business efficiency by leveraging new It tools. The initiative offers all 700,000 businessman members of Confartigianato an opportunity to activate and utilize Telecom Italia’s innovative Impresa Semplice Certific@ certified e-mail service free of charge until 31 December 2011. The service makes e-mail messages legally valid. Certific@ certified e-mail will be rolled out immediately to all members via a simplified activation procedure to streamline relations between companies and government bodies. Under the deal, members will also be able to upgrade to the It tools and services available in the Impresa Semplice Pc Tuttocompreso package on particularly favourable terms and conditions. This venture confirms Telecom Italia’s status – through its Impresa Semplice range – as a reliable partner well-placed to cater to Sme needs.
