Roma, 28 ottobre 2010 - True Lives: this is the title of the first expo-event of the capital, which will be held from the 3rd to the 7th of November within the elegant Villa Mercadante. The awaited actors and guests from the International Rome Film Festival will be able to enjoy the exclusive photographs taken by an important protagonist of Italian photography, Emilio Lari, whom has worked on some of the world’s most famous film sets. On display, amongst retro video installations and blaring 1960’s music, there will be a series of never seen before photographs, in Italy, featuring the Beatles and ‘stolen’ shots from the sets directed by Federico Fellini and Sergio Leone. Emilio Lari has worked since the early 1960’s as a set photographer for over 150 international movies. He has become the protagonist and narrator of the most authentic and true period of cinema history, music history and international contemporary culture. Under the spot lights, the exclusive photographs of this maestro: the protagonists are the very young John Lennon, Paul Mccartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison on the set of the movie “Help!”, in which Rebellion, Hope and Energy are portrayed in all the intensity of the 1960’s. The Beatles as you have never seen them before. Cinema, Authenticity and History come to life in the collection of vintage photographs which capture important actors such as Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando and Jodie Foster as well as genius directors such as Federico Fellini and Sergio Leone, backstage with all their curious anecdotes and facts from on and off the sets. 50 years of History, Art, Cinema, Costume and Fashion and especially true lives are exhibited in an original context: between an exhibition and an event, with of a ‘retro lounge’ set up, inspired by the 19 60’s and 70’s, video installations and above all the music of the Fab Four. An expo-event focused on the incredible mood and spirit that every photograph expresses and transmits to the viewer. |
