AMENDMENT OF THE INDICATIVE CALENDAR FOR THE EUROSYSTEM´S TENDER OPERATIONS IN 2003
Francoforte 7 May 2003 - The European Central Bank (Ecb) will publish an amended version of the indicative calendar for the Eurosystem´s tender operations in 2003 (see the attached annex). The purpose of the small amendments is to avoid the settlement/maturity of tender operations on 24 and 31 December 2003, as was foreseen in the previous version of the calendar. Experience in 2002, when these days had been settlement/maturity days, and feedback from the Ecb´s counterparties would suggest that credit institutions generally prefer to avoid the settlement/maturity of tender operations on these two days.
