Paris, May 9, 2003 - Alcatel and Visiowave S.a. Announce today that they have entered an agreement to integrate Visiowave Security Solutions in Alcatel´s global communication solutions. The growing need for protection of people and assets is leading global organisations in all sectors to make large investments in new generation video surveillance systems. Moreover, the deployment of advanced private multi-purpose communication networks and video digitalisation technologies are catalyzing the migration from traditional analogue video surveillance towards digital video surveillance. Indeed, the bandwidth and quality of service offered by today´s multi-purpose private networks enables digital video surveillance in a more cost-effective way avoiding overlay analogue networks.
