BOOK PUBLISHED ON ECB CONFERENCE "THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE EUROPEAN FINANCIAL SYSTEM"
Bruxelles, 4 giugno 2003 - Today 2 June the European Central Bank (Ecb) has published a book entitled "The transformation of the European financial system", containing the proceedings (papers, discussants´ comments and summaries of the general discussions) of the Second Ecb Central Banking Conference of the same title, held in Frankfurt am Main on 24 and 25 October 2002. The contributions of leading experts in the field address short and long-term issues concerning the structure, integration, development and supervision of European banking and financial markets. The book also provides valuable lessons in monetary policy and the role of central banks in financial stability.
